Eggs of Love

I’m not talking about my ovaries. I promise.

The other day, I was feeling a little hungry in the late evening so my partner decided to make me something to eat. He is not a cook. To put in a few words, he can’t cook save for the instant pasta stuff we store in the pantry. But it’s gestures like these that you tend to remember even after you’re old..:)

He wanted to make me eggs, so I asked him what type of eggs and he just said the “normal” kind…lol. Moments later, I realize he didn’t really know the difference between scrambled, poached, omelette and sunny side up. But no matter, after a few pictures of an omelette he gets the picture, pun intended, and so cooking resumes. He didn’t want me anywhere near the kitchen while he’s cooking so, reluctantly, I stayed in the living room to watch some TV.

10 minutes later, a beautiful omelette was served up (cut into bite size pieces too! how cute) and sprinkled with an abundance of dried parsley “for color”. The omelette looked impressive for an amateur cook who has never cooked an egg before in his life. It wasn’t over cooked nor undercooked, just perfectly done inside and out and well seasoned too. He forgot to whisk the eggs before cooking but small matter! It was very good!

Thanks honey, it was a wonderful omelette :)

Oh btw, my garlic patch has grown! My garlic patch has grown! I planted three cloves of garlic last week and they’re sprouting! I saw this garlic farm on TV and the guy said all you need is one clove of garlic to grow a bulb of garlic. Can you imagine how many garlic you can grow with one bulb of garlic? About 20~!

How it looks like when i first planted a clove.

In a few days time, it started sprouting and fast too!

It’s growing! It’s growing!

I’m quite excited about the prospects of harvesting my own garlic bulb. All I know is, I can’t wait for the garlic flower to blossom. It’s a pretty little purple flower …:)

The sentiment was there! ;) I wife can’t cook and once in a while she sacres me by wanted to try to make me something. Usually I end that thought by asking her if she would like me to make her favorite food.
